Know Hope

It’s five o’clock in the morning here, and a few of us diehards are still up watching returns come in on CNN international. The birds are chirping, Ohio was just called for Obama, we can see some sun in the sky, and this feels like a symbol of the day as a whole as far as politics go.

This is a big, big night for us crazy liberals living on the edge of American Civilization.

How are people doing over there (with the news)? How are you doing over there? Also I’m glad you got to see a bit of it.

Let me know what you thought of McCain’s concession speech, and Obama’s acceptance speech.

What a night! Words cannot describe the joy and hope I feel for our country and for all humanity. And, thank you Oscar, for your part in making this world a better place for all.

Woohoo! I am proud to be an American today!

Glad to see that you enjoyed the evening. Some of the rallies here stateside seemed like we had just deposed a dictator (draw your own conclusions). Route 1 in College Park was as if the Duke basketball game had ended, not to mention the rally in front of the White House.

    ^_^

St. Mary’s went nuts. Flash mob in LQ chanting “Obama” “Yes, We Can” and just screaming in general. Even some of the Pro Staff joined in.
