Back in Bobete after a long time down in Maseru for IST (in-service training). Two and a half weeks in the capital with my training group was quite an event, and while it was a lot of fun, it is nice to be back to the comparative quiet of Bobete.
Big events included:
The first installment of Iron Chef: Lesotho. With a theme ingredient of sweet chili peppers, it was a tight race through the main course, until Allison’s chocolate-chili fondue dessert took the prize. Next time gadget, next time. There was filming going on throughout the process, so I am hoping that once the final video is edited, it will go up on youtube and this site.
We are getting two new volunteers in Thaba-Tseka! This is probably more exciting to those of us over here than people reading this blog, but new volunteers mean new people to get to know, new friends, and new places to crash when in town. They both seem like really cool guys, and I’m looking forward to getting to know them better.
Holiday plans! On December 31, I am off to Cape Town with a few friends for a week of city life. Tentative schedules include hiking up Table Mountain, visiting Robin Island, and getting my computer fixed. If all goes well, I’ll be much more regular with updates after than.
That’s about it. If I don’t get an update up in the next week, have a great Christmas, or generic-consumer-winter-holiday.
I hope you enjoy your holidays, too. Let us know what New Year’s celebrations are like in southern Africa.
Oscar,
We have a copy of the newest MS Office for Mac we could send to you. Would that be helpful?
Merry Christmas Oscar.
Have a great time is Cape Town.
Love,
Adrienne
Happy Holidays Oscar! Hope you have a good time in Cape Town, wish I could be there to hike with you (I’m getting the desk leg syndrome). Haha.
Anyways, enjoy your vacation man.
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!

A little late and a little early for both Christmas and New Years. I hope you can forgive me.
I hope you enjoyed your cook off and I wish you a relaxing (if short) vacation.
I hope your Christmas was happy and I hope you start off the new year right.
Stay safe,
~Cathy
